The ultimate tree house project
The little tall house in the trees.
After chatting about how cool it would be to build a tree house at the end of Craig my neighbours garden, what this has evolved into is somthing epic.
As this is for his son, follow along as we fit low voltage lighting throughout and illuminate this already epic build.

Part 1 of many... After 15 years in a lock up garage Edna is finally home. Watch as we remove the badly modified interior, hit things with hammers and find some vintage snacks.

When you're a car guy, there's always a new project. Unfortunately for me I seem to buy more than I sell. Follow my stupid situation as i lose my storage and bring everything iv'e been hiding for the last 15 years home to my new workshop, which also isn't finished, nor is the house, or the garden, there's a trend going on here somewhere. edubcee

    Do you by any chance have a lay out plan for this project was thinking of a Kia Sedona but might now look into Chrysler

    • @edubcee
      @edubcee 2 роки тому

      Not really, I just winged it. Kia Sedona is probably a little bigger internally than the voyager so would make a nice camper

    I can't see the need for all this storage , which takes away some of the room for the double bed. All I have done is remove the seats and put a double airbed in WHEN NEEDED, THEN TAKE IT OUT AND REPLACE THE SEATS. AT CAMPSITES YOU HAVE WATER AND A SHOWER , SO ALL YOU NEED IS A SMALL CAMPER STOVE AND A SMALL BOX OF UNTENSILS AND CUPS GLASSES AND PLATES. KEEP IT SIMPLE. Any extra equipment such as a simple awning and folding table and a chairs and guitar can go on the roof rack out of the way. These interiors may look cool and well designed but the loss of space is crucial. I have put in LED lights, USB and solar charged, for reading at bedtime. No need for mains electricity.

    • @edubcee
      @edubcee 2 роки тому

      Well done on building your ideal camper, hats off to you, it takes a lot to actually build something and you probably know that having done it yourself. I can only thank you for your comment highlighting how pointless my conversion was and how you've done it better really makes my day, I bow dow to your prowess and bid you a good day.

    • @alankenworthy9722
      @alankenworthy9722 2 роки тому

      @@edubcee Oh you are touchy aren't you, to the point of being quite childish. Of course your conversion is good if that is what you want, but please don't be hurt if not everyone does it your way. A double size bed fits Ok into the Voyager, but not if the sideways width is reduced--maybe you are smaller than me. I put my case quite fairly, no one is compelled to agree with me , just as no one is compelled to ape your conversion. My argument is valid for me, because I have a lot of experience fitting out small yachts where headroom and space are limited. It is surprising how big you can make the interior of a small yacht look, without losing storage space. I had a Westerly Windrush, and I took out the forward cabin door, the big water tank under the forward Vberth, the fridge, and the original toilet and the oven, all of which took up a lot of space and made the boat look pokey. I also altered a big 50ft Hartley Fijian ketch , whose interior was massive until the man who built it put bulkheads and compartments everywhere and made it look less roomy than some modern 29footers.

      @edubcee 2 роки тому

      @@alankenworthy9722 I disagree, you decided to comment when you clearly had nothing of worth to bring to the party. The differences will be huge as your happy with an air bed and roughing it, I much prefer chilled drinks, a good film all from the comfort of a decent bed. That's 2 different genres of vanning you like one, I like the other. In no way would I comment on someone's post saying I don't see the point in it, Id just move along and not try and cause an argument which you clearly wanted to do. I put the video up to sell the thing ( which I did very quickly) and left it up to help out like minded people get a few ideas or hints if they are after creating that type of build. So please do the internet a favour and stop posting about yourself and how brilliant your mind set is, nobody asked.

      It wasn't bad to be fair, hp only really affects top speed it's the torque and gearing that makes a decent truck. Would easily pull 4t behind it the main issue was the drum brakes all round, it made stopping something you had to apply for via the postal service

      hi on the front of the inlet there is a plastic over boost sensor if you blank that off then fit a bleed valve to the actuator vacuum line you can up the boost. I think with the standard turbo you can get 23 psi although the head gasket may not survive long

I was lucky enough to get a ride in his landy up to the burger van to try and get a tractor to pull me out (which he pretty much sorted out too) and it was cool as fuck!! Sunday was my first day in whaddon, but with the friendly people and the crazy terrain i'm definitely coming back soon. Just a little more attention to where i drive i think......
